Hi! My name is Lykka and my friends refer to me as the "Adventure Dog". I haven't always gone by this name though. I had a very rough upbringing with parents who didn't treat me very well. Thankfully, I was given up for adoption and saved by my brother dawg Nils! Nils is my main man! We do everything together except eat out of the same bowl. Although I have my sneaking suspicions about that sometimes!
I love goofing around with Nils, relaxing on the couch, and eating my grool. But what really gets my tail waggin' is the outdoor time we spend together with the Dog Breath Industries (DBI) crew! We were busy with the DBI crew exploring Oregon this summer. Almost every weekend we'd pack up the Jeep and hit the road with adventure on our minds. The crew always had to squeeze into their small seats, but I had my own pad in the back all to myself! I guess I can be a bit of a drama queen, but sometimes a girl just needs her space! We zoomed past amazing views of the Oregon landscape! The only downside was I couldn't stick my head out of the car and get that fresh blast of cool air in the face like my buds in the front.
We'd do this almost every weekend and it felt like we covered the entire state of Oregon. We snow-pawed (snow-shoed) on Mt. Hood, rented a cabin near Mt. Hood, ran McCubbin's Gultch on Mt. Hood, ran around Trillium Lake, camped in the Mt. Adams snow, visited the John Day Fossils, climbed Mt. St Helens, Broken Top Mountain, and South Sister mountain. Ran the 30 mile wildwood trail, went crabbing in Coos Bay, and explored parts of Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming on an adventurous road trip!
I'll never forget these memories of the amazing adventures with Nils and the Dog Breath Industries crew! I was a little apprehensive about them at first as you can see from my face in the photos, but they proved themselves in the woods and on the trails. I'm looking forward to next summer when we can explore even deeper into the Oregon forests and check additional mountains off our list! My name is Lykka and I am the "Adventure Dog"! If you happen to see me on the trail, don't be a stranger. Stop over and give me a good scratch behind the ears! Oh, and always remember; Live Reckless!! : )
